Jiujitsu

CONNECTING VETERANS THROUGH THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL TRAINING OF JIUJITSU

Other than its combat application, the art of Jiujitsu is a significant tool for psychological healing, personal growth, and physical health. The central teachings of the Brazilian Jiujitsu (BJJ) are based on relaxing and settling down when confronted with uncomfortable situations.

Additionally, this martial art provides an efficient form of exercise with an extraordinarily friendly and relaxed social atmosphere that incorporates people from different diversities.

STB Jiujitsu tuition sponsorship is currently available at approved training facilities.

The Save The Brave Jiujitsu Program is led by Mike Hermosillo, Black Belt at Six Blades located in South Gate, CA, Brian Mendez, a US Marine Corps Veteran, Black Belt at Six Blades located in San Pedro California, and Manny Maeda, a US Marine Corps Veteran, and BJJ practitioner. Manny has served on the STB Board of Directors since 2015.

As our newest program, we are accepting 10 SoCal veteran applicants for year 2022. The STB Jiujitsu tuition sponsorship is currently available at an approved Southern California training facility. Applicants must live within a 25-mile radius from a Save the Brave approved training facility.
